Ice Cream

Often times, ice cream is regarded as an off limits item because it’s loaded with all kinds of junky ingredients. This recipe for ice cream is what I like to make for myself and my family when we’re in the mood for a sweet treat. Depending on the ripeness of the bananas I’m using, sometimes I will add a little maple syrup, honey or stevia. Most of the time, the bananas add the sweetness I’m looking for, which is perfectly accompanied by some chopped pecans or almonds and a little dark chocolate. You don’t have to feel guilty for making this once in a while and I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!

Quick tip:  Try adding a spoonful of peanut butter or your favorite nut butter to the mix!

*Although it is not specified in the recipe, I only use ingredients that are organic and/or GMO-free. I believe this is the healthiest way to eat and encourage everyone to do so as much as possible. It is a more expensive way to eat but it is worth every penny!
